Jeffrey S. Posin
Jeff Posin attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri from 1987 to 1991, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance. He continued onto law school at the University Of Arizona College Of Law, one of the nation’s top rated law schools, where he graduated in 1994 with a Juris Doctor degree. He has achieved both scholastic achievements during his academic pursuits and professional recognition during his career. Jeff graduated with high honors from law school and was named both Magna Cum Laude and an Order of the Coif upon graduation. During law school Jeff was an intern for the Public Defender’s Office in Tucson, Arizona as well as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Lawrence Fleischman in the Superior Court of Arizona.
As a practicing lawyer, Jeff has been recognized by his peers as an outstanding attorney. He is listed in the National Martindale Hubble Registry of Preeminent Lawyers. Jeff was also recognized by the Clark County Bar Association as a Pro Bono Superstar for the work he has performed at no cost to low income clients. He is a member in good standing of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Clark County Bar Association, the Nevada Bar Association, the Arizona Bar Association and the American Bar Association and was recognized in 2009 by the Attorney Guide for being one of Las Vegas’ Certified Ethical Attorneys. Most recently, Jeff was chosen to serve as the Vice Chairman of the State Bar of Nevada Clients’ Security Fund Committee, which seeks to reimburse clients for losses due to an attorney misappropriating client funds. In addition to the Client Security Fund, Jeff also serves on the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board and the Fee Dispute Committee for the State Bar of Nevada and is an official Mentor working to educate younger attorneys in Las Vegas through the TIP Mentoring Program sponsored by the State Bar of Nevada. This year, Jeff was included in The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Attorneys for his excellence as a Trial Lawyer in the Criminal Court System.
Jeff Posin was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1994 and the Nevada Bar in 1997. He is admitted to practice in all the state and county Courts in Nevada, as well as Arizona, and the United States Bankruptcy Court, as well as the United States District Court, District of Southern Nevada.
